FORMER WEBSITE HOMEPAGE

As a UX Designer, I recognize the pivotal role the homepage plays in shaping the overall user experience of a website. It serves as the user's initial point of contact, making it a critical foundation for their journey. While elements like the navigation bar and information structure are essential, the home page sets the tone, and any misstep here can lead to complications throughout the project.

 

In assessing the Tridelta Systems website, particularly its homepage, a significant challenge surfaced—there was a noticeable amount of confusion across the navigation, and information structure. This pain point not only hindered the website's aesthetic appeal but also rendered it ineffective in terms of overall user experience.

 

To address this issue, our chosen solution focused on enhancing the aesthetics and messaging of the homepage while using video as a powerful tool of communication. We recognized that the user's journey should commence with a clear understanding of what Tridelta offers as a business.

COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS TO GAIN UNDERSTANDING

When embarking on a project from its inception, the task of conceptualizing content and visual elements can pose a formidable challenge. This is where I employed UX methodology to navigate through the complexities of constructing the base concept of how the site should work. In my humble opinion, choosing the optimal UX practice for this particular project was quite evident, especially since we were reevaluating an existing site as if it were a brand-new endeavor.

 

I opted for the application of design thinking as the guiding concept, affording me greater flexibility in shaping my problem-solving strategy. To set the wheels in motion, I utilized fundamental yet highly effective UX tools. My approach commenced with a Competitive Analysis, focusing on the world's most successful industrial manufacturing companies. This insightful exercise was aimed to identify UX commonalities.

 

Subsequently, we conducted user testing on the websites of industry-leading competitors and websites that were in a similar adjacent industries. Taking this approach allowed us to discern effective elements and identify areas that needed improvement, providing invaluable feedback to explore innovative design ideas.

DEFINE

In our persona research, we pinpointed selected industries with the same client base. Subsequently, we honed in on a specific brand within each industry, providing a foundation to synthesize the unique needs of both the industry and the brand. Our exploration unveiled striking similarities in needs and challenges across different industries, offering a valuable opportunity for cross-referencing findings in the upcoming ideation phase.

During interviews, a recurring concern emerged—the lack of visual information ( Photography and Video ) regarding what the company actually does. Notably, this concern was consistently voiced by Tridelta Systems customers, pointing to an issue isolated to their web platform. This recurring theme emphasized the pressing need for a solution, as echoed by the individuals we engaged with.
